This notice describes how Desken AS processes personal data on desken.no.

Controller

Desken AS, company no. 984 358 202, Oslo, is the controller for personal data processed in connection with this website. Privacy enquiries go to post@desken.no.

The site does not track you

Vi bruker no cookies and no cross-site tracking. The site stores nothing in your browser, and you are not recognised from one visit to the next.

The fonts are served locally rather than fetched from Google Fonts, precisely because such a call would send your IP address to a third party on every page view.

Visitor statistics

We count visits with Plausible, a European alternative to Google Analytics. It was chosen because it is built to measure without identifying: no cookies, no device fingerprinting, no profile of you, and no data shared or sold on.

What is recorded is the page view itself, which page you came from, plus country, browser type and whether you are on mobile or desktop — derived without storing your IP address. The figures are anonymous and cannot be traced back to individuals. Plausible is operated by Plausible Insights OÜ in Estonia, and the data is stored in the EU.

If you would rather not be counted, most ad blockers block Plausible automatically.

The contact form

If you submit the contact form, we store your name, your email address, any phone number and organisation, the topic you chose, your message and which page the form was sent from. The data is used solely to answer and follow up the enquiry.

If the database is unavailable, the form falls back to opening a pre-filled email in your own email program. Nothing is then stored with us until you choose to send it yourself.

The newsletter

If you sign up for the newsletter, we store your email address, any name and organisation, and the fact that you gave consent together with the time you gave it. The timestamp is set by the database, not by your browser — that is the documentation required in order to send you email. The address is used only to send the newsletter and is not shared.

You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to a mailing or sending an email to post@desken.no. Unsubscribing requires no reason and has no other consequences.

Behandlingsgrunnlag

Henvendelser: legitimate interest in answering enquiries you initiated yourself, cf. GDPR article 6(1)(f).

Nyhetsbrevet: your explicit consent, cf. article 6(1)(a), in line with the requirement for prior consent to electronic marketing in section 15 of the Norwegian Marketing Control Act. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Serverlogger: berettiget interesse i sikker og stabil drift, jf. artikkel 6 nr. 1 bokstav f.

Serverlogger

The web server keeps ordinary access logs. They contain, among other things, IP address, time, which address was requested and which browser was used. The logs are used for operation, troubleshooting and security, not to follow individual visitors, and are kept by the supplier for a limited period before deletion.

Databehandlere

Supabase provides the database where enquiries and newsletter sign-ups are stored. The database runs in Stockholm, within the EEA. Supabase Inc. is registered in the United States, and operations and support staff may in some cases have access from countries outside the EEA.

Plausible provides the visitor statistics. Plausible Insights OÜ is Estonian, and the data is stored in the EU.

All four process data on our behalf as processors, under a data processing agreement. Where a supplier may give access from countries outside the EEA, this is done under the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC). Beyond this, your data is not shared with anyone.

Lagringstid

Enquiries are kept in the database for as long as it is necessary to follow up the matter, and are then deleted. Newsletter sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe.

The website can neither read, change nor delete what is stored — it only has the right to insert new rows. Access requests and deletion are handled by us directly.

Dine rettigheter

You have the right of access to the data we hold about you, and to demand that it be corrected, deleted or the processing restricted. You also have the right to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Get in touch at post@desken.no and we will reply as quickly as we can.
